Description of position :
INTERAC Co. Ltd. Hiroshima is currently accepting applications for ALT positions in Elementary and Junior High Schools in Shikokuchuo, Ehime prefecture. The positions will start in April, 2009.

We are looking for candidates who can commit to for at least one year. We offer a competitive remuneration package, including monthly performance and completion bonuses to the successful applicants. A language bonus is available to Japanese speakers.

The successful applicant should live in or be willing to relocate to the respective areas, possess a valid work visa and have at least a BA/BS from an accredited university. The position requires driving. Hence a valid driver's license (International or Japanese) along with advanced Japanese skills is a MUST. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop and prepare a curriculum suitable for Elementary schools.

Candidates must love to work with children and strive to create a fun classroom with the Japanese teaching staff. Candidates must also be motivated and can work without close supervision. Training, initial and on-going, is provided. The company also provides a variety of teaching resources that includes lesson plans and flashcards that the ALT can utilize in school. An extensive support network of local English-speaking Japanese staff together with experienced ALTs is available to assist the new ALTs with any problems or concerns they may have.
